Friendly weightlifting competition inaugurated

The friendly weightlifting competition between Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and India’s Border Security Force (BSF) was arranged on Wednesday at BGB headquarters multipurpose training shade in order to enhance existing friendly relation and mutual cooperation of the two forces.
BGB headquarters Additional Director General Brigadier General M Anisur Rahman formally inaugurated the meet as the chief guest, said a BGB press release.
High officials of BGB headquarters, BGB’s sport board president Abul Hasnat M Khairul Bashar, both team’s officials and members and Bangladesh Weightlifting Federation officials were present, among others, on the occasion.
The two-day meet will conclude tomorrow (Thursday). Textiles and Jute Minister Emaz Uddin Pramanik is expected to present on the closing day and distribute the prizes.
