Ctg-based FF platform gets new body

Dhaka Prabashi Muktijoddha-Chattagram Anchal, a platform of the Chittagong Freedom Fighters, formed a new committee recently, said a press release on Wednesday.
FF Syed Deederul Alam, sector commander forum leader, was elected President and M Wahid Ullah, Dhaka Bureau Chief of Dainik Azadi, was elected Secretary respectively.
Earlier, Md Nurul Alam, Additional IGP (Retired), was the President of the platform.
The other office bearers are: Vice Presidents – Maruf Shah Chowdhury, Bakhtiar Uddin Chowdhury and Borhan Uddin Ahmed, Joint Secretary Mozammel Huq Chowdhury, Organising Secretary Ali Haider Chowdhury, Treasurer Jishu Kumar Barua, Welfare Secretary Faizul Mation, Publicity-Publication and Culture Affairs Secretary Nizam Uddin Ahmed, Office Secretary Jafrul Alam Khan. Five EC members are- Kalyani Ghosh, Shamsuddin Ahmed, AKM Alamgir, SKM Jahurul Anwar and Gouranga Dey. Major (Retd) Rafiqul Islam Bir Uttam (Commander Sector-1) was elected as the Chief Advisor of the organization. Other Advisory Committee members are – Eng Siddiq Ahmed, Md.Nurul Alam, Dr ABM Zafar Ullah and Dr Mustafizur Rahman.
CWASA Chief gets 3- yr extension : Government has extended the tenure of Managing Director of Chittagong WASA Engineer A K M Fazullah for next three years.
A gazette notification signed by Deputy Secretary of the Public Administration Ministry, said Engr.Fazullah’s tenure was extended for three years more with effect from November 01, 2017 .Engr.Fazlullah joined as CWASA Chairman in October 2009 after retirement from the govt service. With this extension Engr. Fazullah’s tenure as the CWASA MD would be 12 years, a CWASA sources said.
