Logo, Muscat of Bangladesh Youth Games to be unveiled today

The Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) has taken extensive promotional step to introduce the first ever Bangladesh Youth Games across the country and as a part of the promotion the logo and Muscat of Games will be unveiled today through a formal ceremony at Kurmitola Golf Club, said a BOA press release.
Finance Minister AMA Muhith MP is expected to unveil the logo and Muscat of the Games as chief guest at 7 pm.
This is the first time the BOA is going to organize the Bangladesh Youth Games in the country in order to form national youth team in each sports for the future by searching the talented sportsmen through the competition from across the country.
The Youth Games, to be participated by under-17 sportsmen, will be held in 21 disciplines.
The disciplines are football, volleyball, basketball, hockey, kabaddi, handball, athletics, swimming, badminton, shooting, table tennis, squash, karate, taekwondo, wrestling, Wushu, weightlifting, boxing, archery and chess.
The week-long district phase Youth Games will be formally inaugurated on December 18 in all 64 districts and the ten-day divisional phase Games will begin on January 6 next year in all divisions across the country while the national phase Games will start on March 9 next year.
District and divisional sports associations will conduct the district and divisional phase Games. Later the BOA will form team selecting the best sportsman from districts, divisions and national phase competition.
The BOA will also ensure diet, accommodation and other facilities for the sportsmen during the district and divisional phase competition.
