CJKS Cricket Star Club, City Corp Green win

Star Club and Chittagong City Corporation Green team won their respective matches in the CJKS-Confidence Cement First Division Cricket League at two separate venues in the port city on Saturday.
Star Club beat Nimtata Lions Club by three wickets at the Women’s Complex ground in Sagorika while Chittagong City Corporation Green defeated Ullash Club by nine runs at MA Aziz Stadium here.
At women’s complex, Nimtata Lions Club batted and were bundled out for 126 runs in 44.2 overs with Motiur Rahman making 29 and Abul Hasnat 19 runs.
Shahidul grabbed four wickets for 24 runs while Faizullah and Omar Faruk took two wickets each conceding 18 and 25 runs respectively.
In reply, Star Club reached their target scoring the match-winner 127 runs for 7 in 39.3 overs with Shahidul contributing 29, Jamshedul 26, Sabbir 19 and Ashique 17 runs.
Mohammad Rasel claimed three wickets for 29 runs while Minhaj took two for 28 runs.
Sent into bat first at the MA Aziz Stadium, City Corporation Green team scored 158 for 9 in stipulated 50 overs with Khaled Saifullah scoring 55 and Abu Naser Faisal 52 runs.
Hasib Bin Afsar made the major damage in City Corporation innings capturing four wickets for 26 runs while Jahed Alam and Saddam Hossain took two wickets each giving away 17 and 34 runs respectively.
In reply, Ullash Club were all out for 149 runs in 49.1 overs with Saleh Ahmed Bablu making not out 56, Manjur Ahmed 24, Abdullah Al Mansur and Sajjad Alam 12 runs each.
Joynal Abedin snatched three wickets for 27 runs.
