Death anniv of parliamentarian F Kabir observed

The 45th death anniversary of the noted legend politician and parliamentarian of the erstwhile Pakistan AKM Fazlul Kabir Chowdhury observed on Saturday at his fraternal residence in Gohira, Raozan upazila of Chittagong through arranging khatme Quoran, milad ,doa mahfil, fateha and distribution of tabaruk.
Legendary politician AKM Fazlul Kabir is the father of incumbent lawmaker and Chairman of the parliamentary standing committee on Ministry of Railway ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury .
Fazlul Kabir Chowdhury died of cardiatic arrest on 9 september ,1972 at his Dhaka residence .He was the leader of the opposition in erstwhile East Pakistan Assembly and Chairman of Legislative Council of the then East Pakistan .Besides, Fazlul Kabir Chowdhury was Vice chairman of erstwhile Chittagong Port Trust, President of Chittagong chamber of commerce, Governor of Merchantile Marine Academy and councilor of Chittagong District council , sources said.
He was born in Gohira village of Raozan upazila on 1 September, 1917 in a respectable family zamindar family of Khan Bahadur Abdur Jabbar Chowdhury . Upzila AL leaders and leaders of the front organizations also participated the ziarat. Beside the lawmaker ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury MP, his brothers ABM Fazle Rabbi Chowdhury Manik, Fazle Shaheed Chowdhury and their sons and relatives were present in the day-long programs of anniversary.
Among others, upazila chairman Ehsanul Haider chowdhury Babul, Vice chairman Noor Mohammad, Raozan UNO Shamim Hossain Reza, Upazila AL President Kamaluddin and chairmen of all union parishads of the upazila attended the anniversary.
Besides, representatives from Santirdip central coop samity, Raozan college, Hingala AKM Fazlul Kabir chowdhury Govt Pry school, Kadalpur Islamia natunpara AKM Fazlul Kabir Pry school, East Guzra AKM Fazlul Kabir chowdhury Govt Pry school,Gohira Sajeda Kabir Chowdhury govt pry school, Haladia Sajeda Kabir chowdhury govt pry school Noajishpur Sajeda Kabir chowdhury govt pry school, Yasin Shah college, Fatehnagar
Sajeda Kabir Chowdhury Govt Primary School, Amirhat Sajeda Kabir Library, Gohira Sajeda Kabir Community Clinic, Gohira Sajeda Kabir Forkania Madrasa , Raozan Ras Biharidam, Mandakinia Asharam, Ganga Mandir paid tributes by presenti ng floral wreaths at the grave of the legendary politician at the family grave yard in Gohira.
