48 aspirants for 16 constituencies from ruling party in Ctg

Awami League high command is going ahead with the preparation of aspirants list for the next parliamentary election across the country .
It is learnt different unauthenticated sources that mass detached and controversial candidates will be dropped from the list in finalization of the candidates list.
Different sources said, party high command is also enquiring the previous records of political activities of these aspirants through grass-root level leaders and the intelligence agencies.
A portal news agency quoting the sources of district committee of the ruling party said in 16 constituencies of the Chittagong, names of the 48 candidates primarily sent to the high command in the meantime.
A reliable sources said in Hathazari constituency, aspirants viz., Chairman of Zila Parishad MA Salam, Advocate Ibrahim Hossain Babul, Younus Gani Chowdhry and the Upazila Chairman Md.Ismail are vying for the nomination .
But in last two elections, JP leader Barrister Anisul Islam Mahmud was nominated as Mohajote candidate.
In neighbouring Raozan constituency, the incumbent lawmaker ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury, Sheikh Sultana wife of the Chairman of Jubo League Omar Faruk Chowdhury and former central Chhatra League General Secretary Mahfuzul Haider Chowdhury Rotan are also in the race.
But in Rangunia constituency , only name of Dr. Hasan Mahmud was sent to central command.
In Fatikchari constituency , the names of former MP Pearul Islam, Fakrul Anowar , younger brother former legislator late Rafiqul Anowar, and the daughter of late Rafiqul Anowar, Khadizatul Anwar come out in the list, sources added.
In Boalkhali constituency, fomer Ambssador SM Abul Kalam, south district AL President Mosleuddin ahmed, son of incumbent Minister Nurul Islam BSc Mojibur Rahman and CDA chairman Abdus Salam also included in the aspirant list.
In last election, JSD leader Moinuddin Khan Badar was elected from 14-party alliance nominee.
In Kotwali constuency of the city, son of former Mayor Mohiuddin chowdhury Barrister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel, CDA Chairman Abdul Salam, incumbent Minister Nurul Islam BSc and CUJ President Reaz Haider Chowdhury are also included in the list whereas JP leader Ziauddin Bablu elected in last election as Mohajote candidate.
Unauthenticated sources said the names of former Minister Dr.Afsarul Amin, Jubo League leader Farid Mahmud, Saifuddin Khaled Bahar are also the aspirants from the ruling part, and the former Mayor ManzurulAlam keen to contest in the Double Mooring constituency in city as independent candidate.
In Bandar constituency , the names of incumbent lawmaker MALatif, vice president of city AL Khorshed Alam Sujan, Altaf Hossain Chowdhury and Rtn Elias came in the primary list. The names of incumbent lawmaker Shamsul Hoque Chowdhury, Jubo League leader Badiulalam and the younger brother of S.Alam, Abdus Samad Lavu are sent to high command , sources added.
In the Banskhali constituency, the names of incumbent MP Mostafizur Rahman , AL leader Abdullah Kabir Liton, treasurer of south district AL Mujibur Rahman and Md. Galib, son of the former MP Sultan Ahmed Chowdhry are also included in the aspirant list.
There is only one name of incumbent State Minister for Land Saifuzzaman Choewdhury Javed sent to high command.
In Mirsarai constituency, names of Minister Eng Mosharraf Hossain MP, former Upazila chairman Giasuddin, came in the aspirant list.
In Sitakunda and Sandwip constituencies, the names of incumbent lawmaker Md. Didarul Alam (Sitakunda) and Sitakunda Upazila Chairman SM Al Mamun and on the other hand names of incumbent MP Mahfuzur Rahman Mita (Sandwip) sent to high command.
There are four aspirants in Satkania constituency namely incumbent MP Dr. Abu Reza Md. Nezamuddin Nadvi, central AL Aminul Islam, Abdul Motaleb Chowdhury and Moinuddin Hasan chowdhury . In the primary list of the aspirants, the names of incumbent MP Nazrul Islam, General Secretary of South District AL Mofizur Rahman and son of Engr Afsaruddin Barrister Asifuddin also included , sources added.
