2 killed in separate incidents

BSS, Chittagong :
Three persons, including a schoolboy, were killed in separate incidents in the city on Sunday.
Five of the deceased were identified as Joydwip Dotto, 11, a class five student of city’s Saint Placid’s High School, Mosharraf Hossain Musa, 50, Wazed Ali Babul, 45, auto-rickshaw driver Jasim Sikdar, 38 and Abdur Rahim, 35.
Police said Joydwip was critically injured when a book almirah fell on him while he was reading books in the library of Saint Placid’s High School in city’s Kotwali area around 12pm.
Joydwip was rushed to Chittagong Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) where the attending doctors declared him dead, said Alauddin Talukdar, Assistant Sub-Inspector at CMCH police outpost.
Besides, Rahim was critically injured as he was electrocuted while working at soap factory in city’s Kalurghat area around 8.30am.
He was rushed to the CMCH where the attending doctors declared him dead. Meanwhile, police recovered the decomposed body of an unidentified woman kept inside a water drum at Ranir Dighi of city’s Enayet Bazar area around 2.30pm.
The body was sent to the CMCH morgue for autopsy.
