



An inter-ministerial meeting was held on Thursday to make the upcoming home series against India a success at the Youth and Sports Ministry conference room here.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Biren Sikder, MP, presided over the meeting while secretary of the ministry Noor Mohammad was present.
India will tour Bangladesh to play three-match ODI series in mid June. The ODIs will be held on June 15, 17 and 19 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
In the meeting, the state minister sought cooperation to the representatives of concern ministries, associations and divisions to make the home series a success.
The concern representatives also assured the state minister to do their duty properly.
The meeting formed a security committee making its convener of the Home Ministry’s additional secretary to ensure security of the invited local and foreign guests, players and officials during the time of their stay in Bangladesh.
Officials of the ministry, foreign ministry, home ministry, civil aviation and tourism ministry, information ministry, post and telecommunications ministry, finance ministry, local
government division, power division, commerce division, health and family welfare ministry, Dhaka city corporation and Bangladesh Cricket Board were also present.
