IEB observes 69th founding anniversary

The 69th founding anniversary of Engineers Institution, Bangladesh, Chittagong Centre is being observed from yesterday .
IEB, Chittagong Centre has arranged seminar, symposium, reception to engineers and cultural functions in observance of its 69th founding anniversary in two days long anniv programs. IEB leaders at a press conference disclosed to the mediamen on Saturday .Mentionable that the IEB Chittagong was founded in 1948 following registration with joint stock companies as the first Engineers Institution in then East Pakistan.
Later, Bangladesh Engineers Institution was founded. But, IEB Chittagong was the first organization of engineers in Bangladesh, they said.
Chairman of Engineers Institution, Chittagong Engineer Sadek Mohammad Chowdhury read out a written statement at the conference while secretary Engineer Probir Kumar Sen described various activities of Engineers Institution, Chittagong.
Among others, former chairmen of Engineers Institution, Chittagong Engineer Delwar Majumdar, Engineer Mohammad Harun, Vice -Chairmen Engineer M A Rashid, Engineer Udya Shekhor Dutta and former vice chairman Engineer A S M Nasir Uddin, Engineer Ovijit also answered the barrel of questions in the press meet.
