Friends cut youth’s two fingers in Khulna

Centering a feud of playing cricket, some friends of a youth hacked and cut his two fingers of the left hand after calling him from his residence at Darogar Nij area in Labonchara police station in the city on Sunday night.
The hapless youth was identified as Ariful Islam,22, son of Altaf Hossain, resident of Darogar Nij area under Labonchara police station in Khulna city.
Police and family members of Arif said, at around 10 pm on Sunday, some of the friends of Arif went to his residence ,called away him near at a pond adjacent to APC high school in Darogar Nij area. Later, they hacked Arif indiscriminately and cut two fingers of his left hand. Johny, another friend of Arif was also hurt by them while he resisted them. After rescuing Arif, he was admitted in Khulna Medical college hospital (KMCH).
Local people said, a feud had been going on between two youths named Dulal and Rahim centering cricket playing. Arif took the favor of Dulal and following this conflict, the occurrence might be occurred. The attackers fled away while Dulal’s father Ashraf Hossain went ahead on the spot. Mosharaf Hossain, officer-in-charge (OC) of Labonchara police station said on Monday morning that the persons who attacked o Arif, they are friends of Arif, one of his friends was taken to the police station for query.
