Media Cup Badminton begins today

The Walton Media Cup Badminton begins s today (Thursday) at Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Stadium in the city’s Paltan area.
The Daily Samakal editor Golam Sarwar will formally inaugurate the meet as the chief guest.
Walton operative director (sports and welfare) FM Iqbal Bin Anwar will be present as special guest.
Bangladesh Badminton Federation (BBF) joint secretary M Golam Aziz Zilani and tournament co-coordinator Borhan Azad will also be present on the occasion.
A total of 87 newsmen from 23 print and electronic media houses confirmed their participation, sponsored by Walton and organised by Event Management institution Blackboard.
The competition will be held in men’s singles & doubles, women’s singles & doubles and mixed doubles. The champions and runners-up team will get attractive prizes while all the participating players will have prizes on behalf of Walton.
