Under-18 Cricket: Barisal Division beat Dhaka North by 3 wickets
Barisal Division beat Dhaka North Division by three wickets on the 3rd and final day of a three-day-match of the Young Tigers U-18 National Cricket Competition at the Dinajpur Stadium on Tuesday.
In the day’s match, Dhaka Division North, which resumed the 2nd innings (1st innings 203) with overnight 92 runs, were dismissed cheaply for 128 runs in 60.5 overs.
Night watch batsman Dewan Maruf (3) scored 27 runs while Mehedi Hasan Jr made not out 18 runs.
Mridul Devnath claimed six wickets for 24 runs while Shawon Gazi took one wicket (3 wickets for 44 in the 2nd innings) in the day’s match.
In reply, Division (1st innings 261) opened the second innings and reached their target making 76 runs for 7 in 34.2 overs.
Hafizur Rahman scored not out 23 runs while Panna Mia and Oli Ahmed added 15 and 14 runs respectively.
Munim Shahriar, Mehedi Hasan and Mehedi Hasan Jr took two wickets each for 8, 22 and 25 runs respectively.

In the day’s match, Rangpur Division resumed the 2nd Innings (1st innings 86 runs) with overnight 81 for 3, and were dismissed for 195 in 77 overs to concede a 5-run defeat to Chittagong Division.
Night watch batsman Shamsuzzaman Swapan (12) made 47 runs and number seven batsman Moniruzzaman Moni added 38 runs.
Mehedi Arafat and Nayeem Hasan took three wickets each for 29 and 58 runs respectively.

In reply, Khulna Division opened the 2nd innings and made 104 for 9 in 27.1 overs to win by 1 wicket against Sylhet Division.

Istakul Islam claimed four wickets for 73 runs on third day.
In reply, Rajshahi Division opened the 2nd innings and scored 24 runs for 1 in 5 overs.
Shovon Das made 15 runs while Shakhir Hossain Shuvro made unbeaten 8 runs. Zakir Hasan took the lone wicket for 11 runs.
