



Eighty including municipal mayor and upazila Awami League secretary sued by for factional clash in Gournadi of Barisal on Monday night.
Gournadi police station officer in charge Abul Kalam said they received and allegation signed by Saiful Islam Razu, typist of upazila chairman office as complainant.
In that allegation 30 were mentioned by-name including Harisur Rahman Haris, Gournadi municipal mayor and upazila AL secretary and 50 were unnamed accused for ransacking offices of upazila chairman, vice chairman, LGED engineer and accountant , damaging 12 motorcycles and injuring 20 people on Sunday.
After getting instruction from higher authourity, police received the allegation and it would be registered as a criminal case and police will investigate that, the OC Gournadi PS told.
On other hand AL backed UZP chairman and vice chairman on Monday done their official works under open sky due to ransacking of their offices.
Shah Alam Khan, AL upazila president and chairman, said as their offices were damaged so they forced to perform public duties under open sky.
The rival factions led by Shah Alam on Sunday night and Harisur Rahman Haris on Monday morning with motorcycle showdown visited district AL president and local lawmaker Abul Hasanat Abdullah at Agoiljhara and Barisal and blamed each other for the incidents.
