



Participants at the 52nd death anniversary of Sher-e-Bangla Abul Kashem Fazlul Huq on Sunday at Rajapur under Jhalakathi district demanded naming of Padma Bridge on him.
Sher -e- Bangla (Tiger of Bengal) was Son of Kazi Muhammad Wajed, from Chakhar under Banaripara Upazila of Barisal district and Saidunnissa Khatun, of Saturia under Rajapur upazila of Jhalakathi district of Barisal division.
He was born at his maternal grandfather’s home in Saturia village on October 26, 1873 and died at the age of 89 in Dhaka on April 27, 1962.
The programme of 52nd death anniversary of Sher-e-Bangla was jointly organized by Rajapur Reporters Unity and Sher -e- Bangla Smriti Sangsad at the Rajapur Reporters Unity.
The programme presided over by Awal Gazi; president Rajapur Reporters Unity was started observing one-minute silence paying tributes to Sher e Bangla.
