SSC exam held peacefully on first day

The first day of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination in five districts under Chittagong Education Board (CEB) was held here peacefully on Thursday .
Control room sources said there was no expulsion of candidates from any centre in the first day in Chittagong, but 325 students were absent in the Bengali First Paper examination .
A total of one lakh 17 thousand seven hundred four out of one lakh 18 thousand 29 students from 1010 high schools participated in the exam under 171 centres.
Some 70 vigilance teams including 10 special teams by the CEB authorities which is monitoring the situation in and outside the centres to check any sorts of copying during the examination.
Mohammad Mahbub Hasan, controller of CEB told that the examination was held in a peaceful and fair manner.
