Urkirchar UP bhaban to be inaugurated on Friday

The long felt dream of the people of Urkirchar union under Raozan upazila is going to be fulfilled following the inauguration of newly- constructed Urkirchar UP bhaban at middle of the UP areas.
The inauguration ceremony of the new UP bhaban is exptected to be inaugurated on Friday afternoon . The existing UP office is located at Harpara village, the most southern areas of the UP and following the long demand of the locals, the new UP bhaban constructed adjoining near Alamiah Hat which is the middle point of the UP, local sources said. Following the donation of lands for the local philanthropists, lawmaker ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury initiated to construct the new UP bhaban and the construction completed at a cost of Tk one crores, a freelance correspondent Mir Aslam sources said.
Meanwhile Chairman of the UP Syed Abdul Jabbar Sohel has chalked out a week-long colourful programs including receptins, cultural events on inauguration of the new Urkirchar UP Complex on Friday next.
Our local correspondent sources said the UP complex area has been decorated with colourfully with fatoons, banners and placards with illuminations .
Noted singers from home and neighbouring India are expected to participate the cultural functions on February 3 next.
Minister for Public Works and Housing Works Engr. Mosharraf Hossain will grace the inauguration ceremony as chief guest and the local legislator ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury will remain present as inaugurator of the weeklong ceremony.
Chairman of Chittagong district council and Secretary of North District Awami League MA Salam will remain present as special guest, sources said.
