BD U-16 finish Japan tour with two winning note
It was very inspiring for Bangladesh Women football as Bangladesh U16 national football team rounded their Japan tour with two wins and one losses (draw in stipulated time) in the second and last day of the J Green Sakai U15 Women’s Football Festival in Osaka, Japan on Sunday.
The girls donning red and green jersey won a total three matches, drew one and lost two in total seven matches they played in the tournament against different women’s team involving renowned football academies and professional clubs in Japan and Thailand as well. The games were played for 40 minutes each.
Bangladesh eves started their day on a convincing manner as they recorded a 4-0 victory over Amagasaki Ladies in their first match with in-form striker Sirat Jahan Shopna netting twice in the 12th and 16th minute while captain Krishna Rani Sarkar and Marzia scoring once each in the 19th and 34th minute.
The girls faced Thailand U16 team in their second game where they played out a 1-1 draw in the stipulated time with Shopna scoring again for her side in the 11th minute with the opening goal of the game. Bangladesh, however, lost the game eventually in the tie-breaker 4-2.
Bangladesh girls returned strongly in their third game against Tokai University Academy where they outplayed their last opponents of the tournament with 4-0 margin. Shopna continued her amazing form by scoring twice once again in the 18th and 40th minute while Sheuli Azim and AKhi Khatun added one apiece in the 10th and 11 the minute respectively. Shopna scored a total seven goals from six matches.
