Fahad and Malek beat Indian players in Chennai Chess

FM Mohammad Fahad Rahman of Access Chess Club and FM Mohammed Abdul Malek of Titas Club after winning their seventh round matches has now accumulated 5 points each in the 9th Chennai Open International Chess Tournament is now being held at Chennai in India.
Mohammad Aminul Islam of Leonine Chess Club and WFM Nazrana Khan Eva of Golden Sporting Club have earned 3.5 points each, CM Sohel Chowdhury of Titas Club and WFM Zakia Sultana of Agrani Bank Daba Dal has earned 3 points each.
Masuda Begum of Barisal and Md. Abul Kashme of Basir Memorial Chess Club have collected 2.5 points each.
The 7th round games were held on Monday. In 7th round games Fahad beat O. T. Anulkumar of India, Malek beat Toshali V of India, Aminul Bharath Ravikumar of India, Eva beat Arjun Krishnamachari of India.
Zakia drew with Kishore Kumar Jaganathan of India, Sohel lost to Arunachalam Shivaa of India, Masuda lost to Harsh Suresh of India and Kashem lost to Suthershun of India.
GM Niaz Murshed of Saif Sporting Club withdraws his name after 5th round due to sickness. While at the time of leaving the meet, Niaz has earned 3 points out of 5 games.
