Walton Group emerge champion in T20 Corporate Cricket

Walton group emerged unbeaten champion in the Al Haramain Perfumes 6th T20 Corporate Cricket 2016 beating Edison group by 64 runs in final held on Saturday at Dhaka Residential Model Ground in the city.
Batting first after winning the toss, Walton scored 141 for 8 from their allotted 20 overs with Mohammad Sazzad Hossain scoring 57 runs. Shah Mahmood of Edison group took three wickets conceding 14 runs.
In reply, Edison group were bundled out for 77 runs in 17.3 overs. Murad Chowdhury top scored with 25 runs. Rakib Hasan of Walton captured three wickets giving away eight runs.
Sazzad Hossain was adjudged the player of the match and Sahel Mia was named the player of tournament. Mercantile Bank won the fair play trophy.
State Minister for Finance, Mr. Abdul Mannan MP was present as chief guest.
Ahmed Sazzadul Alam Bobby, Director Bangladesh Cricket Board, M Syed Sabbir Ahmed, Executive Director of Al Haramain Perfumes, SM Zahid Hasan, executive director, Walton and M Tamim, Ex Energy Advisor, Govt. of Bangladesh were present in the closing ceremony and distributed prizes among the winners.
