Cox’s Bazar to host Int’l Tourism Confce from Dec 23-25

Bangladesh is set to host a three-day International Tourism Conference which gathers the top minds in destination travel for inspiring and insightful discussions, especially marketing and managing tourism growth to lesser-known destinations.
The conferences dubbed “Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) New Tourism Frontiers Forum 2016 (NTFF16)” is scheduled to take place on December 23-25 at world longest sea beach Cox’s Bazaar.
Bangladesh Tourism Board (BTB) under the supervision of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism is organizing the event with the theme “Designing a sustainable tourism brand – an integrative approach to building a responsible coastal destination” at Royal Tulip Sea Pearl Beach Resort & Spa.
BTB Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Akhtaruz Zaman Khan Kabir said nearly 250 guests related to tourism sector from home and abroad would take part in the conference.
“The conference is bringing an opportunity for branding our country in globally for tourist destination,” he added.
BTB officials said under the theme of the conference, the NTFF 2016 will tackle the topics of fair trade, living heritage communities, coastal and marine tourism, heritage trails and domestic/regional tourism markets – including a session on brand building and marketing for emerging destinations.
