Bangladesh reach 16-year after getting Test status

Bangladesh reached 16-year land-mark after getting Test status. Bangladesh made its debut in Test in this day.
Bangladesh faced India in its debutante Test, which began on November 10, 2016 at the Bangabandhu National Stadium. Sourav Ganguly took part in the coin-session for India, while Naimur Rahman Durjoy participated in the coin-session on behalf of Bangladesh.
Bangladesh scored 400 runs in the first innings in its debutante Test thanks to Aminul Islam Bulbul, who hit a century.
On the other hand, powerhouses of world cricket like Australia, England could not score 300 runs in their debut Test. India, Pakistan, New Zealand could not cross 200-run land mark in their Test debut. In-form South Africa were bundled out for 84 runs in their Test debut.
After getting Test status in 2000, Bangladesh played 95 Test matches. Of them, Bangladesh won eight Test matches, lost to their opponents in 72 Test matches, while rest of the 15 Test matches ended in draws.
Bangladesh played 16 Test matches against Sri Lanka. It was the highest matches for Bangladesh against any Test playing nations. Bangladesh lost Sri Lanka in 14 Test matches, while rest of the two Test ended in a draw.
Bangladesh registered first Test victory against Zimbabwe at the MA Aziz Stadium in Chittagong on 2005. Bangladesh earned its latest Test victory against England on October 30, 2016. It was the maiden Test victory against England. Bangladesh won six Test matches against Zimbabwe and two Test matches against West Indies.
Bangladesh made its highest score against Sri Lanka. They scored 638 at Gulle in Sri Lanka in 2013. It is interesting that Bangladesh scored its lowest Test total against Sri Lanka. Bangladesh were bundled out for 62 runs in Colombo Test in 2007.
Dashing opener Tamim Iqbal is the highest scorer for Bangladesh in Test cricket. He scored 3349 runs playing 44 Test matches. Besides, He scored 206 against Pakistan in Khulna in 2015. It is the highest score for a batsman of Bangladesh. He struck eight centuries, which is the highest century for a batsman of Bangladesh.
Shakib Al Hasan is now the highest wicket taker for Bangladesh. He captured 159 wickets playing 44 Test matches.
