ITF Tennis: Preeti moves to pre-quaterfinal of girls’ singles

Afrana Islam Preeti of Bangladesh advanced to the girls singles pre-quarterfinal of the Walton 30th Bangladesh ITF Junior Tennis Tournament beating Gouri Agarwal of India in straight sets, 7-5, 7-5 at the Ramna National Tennis Complex here on Tuesday.
In te day’s other girls singles, top seed Katie LaFrance defeated Muskaan Ranjan by straight 6-0, 6-0 games.
In the boys singles, both the Bangladeshi players–Rubel Hossain and Faruk Hossain-eliminated from the meet after concedimng defeat in their 2nd round matches at the same venue on Tuesday.
Rubel lost to Bustin Osin of Singapore beat Ruel Hossain 6-4, 5-6, 6-3 games while Xian Zian Kang Takeshi beat Faruk Hossain by 2-6, 6-2, 6-1 games on the day
