Karate training programme begins in Noakhali

The karate under-14-16 players’ selection and training programme from the grassroots level began on Saturday in Noakhali district.
Noakhali Deputy Commissioner Badre Munir Ferdous formally inaugurated the 10-day programme as the chief guest at Noakhali Shaheed Bhulu stadium.
A total of 13 boys’ and girls’ players from different district across the country took part in the programme by the financial support of National Sports Council and organised by Bangladesh Karate Federation.
Earlier on Friday, the selection and training progrrame began in Comilla district stadium gymnasium.
Comilla district sports association general secretary Yousuf Jamil Babu formally inaugurated the programme as the chief guest.
A total of 20 out of 120 boys’ and girls’ participants finally selected for the training. Karate coach M Moklesur Rahman is conducting the programme.
