Muktijoddha blank Sheikh Russel in BPL

League leaders Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra blanked Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra by 2-0 goals in the JB Bangladesh Premier League Football held on Thursday at Bangabandhu National Stadium.
In the day’s match, Muktijoddha went up in the 11th minute through a suicidal goal when Sheikh Russel’s defender Mintu Sheikh in a bid to clear a shot of Towhidul Alam sent the ball back into his own net(1-0).
Muktijoddha’s doubled the lead in the 26th minute with defender Monjurur Rahman Manik minus a long ball to onrushing forward Javed Khan at the left flank, Sheikh Russel defender Nahidul Islam failed to intercept the ball while Javed got hold of the Manik’s pass and successfully managed to drill the ball into the far post net (2-0).
With this victory, the freedom fighters has reached top of points table with 12 points from 6 matches while Sheikh Russel languished at the bottom-ranked with their previous credit of 1 point from 6 outings.
