Inu blasts Khaleda ‘Zia is 4th Mir Jafar’

Making a scathing attack on the BNP chairperson for her assertion that Ziaur Rahman was the first president of Bangladesh, Information Minister Hasanul Huq Inu on Tuesday said Ziaur Rahman was actually the fourth ‘Mir Jafar’.
“The first Mir Zafar was in the Plassey War (in 1757), the second Mir Zafars were in 1971, the third ones in 1975 and Ziaur Rahman was the fourth,” Inu said participating in thanksgiving motion on the President’s speech in Parliament.
Taking a wipe at the BNP chief, the Information Minister said, “Khaleda always comes up with illogical theories one after one with a view to undermining the Liberation War.”
“Many say Khaleda Zia has become mentally imbalanced. I don’t see it (her remark) lightly. She has neither gone mad nor become mentally imbalanced. I see a conspiracy. Khaleda Zia is in systematic madness,” Inu told the House.
Though her remark seems illogical, it is not unusual from the point of views of Pakistanis and their collaborators, he added. “These absurd theories are being spread to wipe out the country’s history,” the Jasad President said.
“The rehabilitation of razakars (collaborators of Pakistanis) by Ziaur Rahman was not madness; it was rather a political satanic activity,” he said.
Continuing his attack on the BNP chairperson, Inu said Khondaker Moshtaque and Zia had engaged political satanic activities and Khaleda Zia followed their footsteps.
He further said there is still scope for Khaleda Zia to join the club of democracy shunning the path of terrorism and Taliban and apologising to the nation.
