One held with 6,400 Yaba tablets

Chittagong Metropolitan Police arrested a youth with 6,400 pieces of yaba tablets from city’s C&B area under Chandgaon thana on early yesterday.
.The arrested was Mohammad Kaiser, 21, hailing from Shilibunia para of Teknaf upazila of Cox’s bazar district.
On a tip-off, a team of the Chandgaon thana Police halted Kaiser in front of Osmania Glass Sheet factory of city’s C&B area under Chandgaon thana and recovered the contraband drugs from his bag, said SAM Shajhana Kabir, officer-in-charge (OC) of the police station.
“The arrested person brought the Yaba tablets from Cox’s bazar for selling the contraband item in the port city”, the OC said, adding that police filed a case under Narcotics Control Act.
