Shomi Kaiser again pairs up with Mahfuz in Eid play

Last year Shomi Kaiser and Mahfuz Ahmed worked together in a telefilm titled Anumoti Prarthona under the direction of Chayanika Chowdhury for last time. But for the last one year they did not work together. Viewers always want to watch them on the screen in different types of story based plays or telefilms. Because viewers believe that if Shomi and Mahfuz work together in any play they cannot ignore to watch.
To keep in the mind the viewers’ choice, Chayanika Chowdhury has made a special play titled Shesher Porey to telecast on GTV in Eid casting Shomi Kaiser and Mahfuz Ahmed. By this play viewers will get the opportunity to watch them on the screen after a break of one year. Iffat Arefin Tonni wrote story of the play.
While talking about the play Shomi Kaiser told this correspondent, “I don’t want to say about the story of the play. While watching the play viewers will show their keen interest to enjoy it. On the occasion of coming Eid many scripts came to me but I did not like those. But story of Shesher Porey is simple but there is something which I liked. For this reason, I agreed to work in the play. Therefore, I got Mahfuz as my co-actor in the play. I always feel comfortable to work with him who has such a quality of acting for this he came into present position in media.”
Mahfuz Ahmed shared his feelings by this way, “Shesher Porey is romantic story based play. But it has different genre. It is not based on typical story. There is something for the viewers which they like. Shomi Kaiser is my good friend, also a good colleague. An actor always shows interest to work with a good actress. While working with her I always feel this thing because while working with her I have to be engaged with my role. I am very much optimistic about the play.”
It may be mentioned that Shomi Kaiser and Mahfuz Ahmed first worked in Akhter Ferdous Rana’s serial Panthojoner Sokha, which was telecasted on Bangladesh Television.
