JPL School Cricket to begin on June 1

The Joyjatra Premier League (JPL) School Cricket will begin on June 1 at the T&T Ground adjacent to the Jatiyo Sangsad Bhaban of Bangladesh. Joyjatra Foundation will arrange the six-a-side cricket tournament.
Regarding this cricket competition, a press conference was held at the Ball Room of Hotel Westin on Thursday.
Chairman of ATN Bangla and ATN News Dr Mahfuzur Rahman was the chief guest of the conference. Selector of BCB Habibul Bashar Sumon, Adviser Chairman of ATN Bangla and ATN News Colonel (Retd) Mir Motahar Hossain, Chairman of Joyjatra Foundation Helena Jahangir and Adviser of Joyjatra Foundation Barrister Iftekhar Jonaed were present as special guests.
A total of eight teams will take part in the five-day long cricket competition. They are: BAF Shaheen School, Rajdhani High School, Holy Crescent International School & College, Mirpur Bangla School & College, Metropolitan School & College, National Model School, Dhaka Tutorial School and Cordova International School & College.
The champions will be awarded Tk 15,000 while the runners-up will be given Tk 10,000 as prize-money.
