85,000 pieces of Yaba tablets recovered

Chittagong district police in a drive seized 85 thousand pieces of contraband Yaba tablets from Gashbaria area on Chittagong-Cox’s bazar Highway under Chandhanish upazila of the district early Thursday.
Based on secret information, a patrol team of Chandhanish thana police intercepted a Chittagong-bound motorcycle in Gashbaria area on Chittagong- Cox’s bazar Highway at 1 am last night, however, the motorcycle riders fled away from the spot leaving behind their bag, police sources said.
Later, police recovered 85,000 pieces Yaba tablets from the bag, the sources added.
None was arrested in this connection.
