National Cricket Championship: Comilla emerge Divisional champions

Comilla District emerged Chittagong Division champions of the 36th National Cricket Championship beating hosts Chittagong District by eight wickets in the final at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium here on Thursday.
Chittagong opened the innings first after winning the toss and were all out for 156 runs in 50 overs with Imrul Karim making 53 and Armanullah 45 runs.
Rubel Miah grabbed three wickets for 26 runs while Rajib, Shafiqul and Shipon took two wickets each.
In reply, Comilla District easily reached their target scoring the match-winner 157 runs for 2 in 26 overs with Mesbahuddin contributing not out 60, Rubel Miah 38, Swapon Dey not out 29 and Saiful Islam 28 runs.
Nayem Hasan and Kamrul Islam took one each conceding 19 and 40 runs respectively.
Rubel Miah of Comilla was adjudged the man of the match for his all round performance to receive the trophy from CJKS vice president Didarul Alam Chowdhury.
