7 shops gutted

BSS, Chittagong :
At least seven shops and an office were gutted in a fire at Fatikchhari upazila sadar area of the district on Saturday.
Fire service sources said the fire originated from a kitchen of a tea stall around 5.20am and it quickly engulfed the surrounding shops.
On receipt of information, fire fighting unit from Fatikchharai station rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control around 7am.
The fire burnt seven semi-pucca shops and an office of a document writer.
Fire service sources said, valuables worth about TK three lakh were gutted in the fire.
