Eden Women’s College emerge as champions

Eden Women’s College emerged as the champions of the Swiss Bakery Women’s College Rugby Competition on Tuesday.
Eden Women’s College secured maximum six points from two matches of the Round Robin League while Kabi Nazrul Government College, the runners-up of the meet earned three matches from as many outings.
In the day’s second match, Eden Women’s College defeated Central Women’s College by 7-0 points at the Government Physical Education College Ground in Mohammadpur.
In the day’s third match, Eden Women’s College outplayed Kabi Nazrul Government College by 26-0 points at the same venue.
Meanwhile, Kabi Nazrul Government College beat Central Women’s College by 10-5 points in the day’s first match at the same venue.
Asma of Eden Women’s College was adjudged the Player of the Tournament.
Joint-Secretary of Sports Directorate Md Abul Hossain distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest while Deputy-Director of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Directorate Farhana Haque was with him as the special guest.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Rugby Federation (BRF) Mousum Ali, Joint-Secretary of BRF Sayeed Ahmed and Secretary of the Tournament Committee Parvin Nasima Nahar were present at the time.
