Police submit charge-sheets against JMB activist

Detective Branch (DB) of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) submitted charge sheet before the court against an activist of banned militant outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen, Bangladesh (JMB) for murdering two persons including ‘Fakir’ Rahmatullah alias ‘Lengta Fakir’ on Sept 4 in 2015.
Sub Inspector (SI) of DB Sontosh Kumar Chakma submitted the two charge sheets against JMB activist ‘Sujon’ alias ‘Babu’ ,28, hails from Jhenaidah district on Monday after the six- month long investigation.
A self-proclaimed ‘Fakir’ Rahmatullah alias ‘Lengta Mamu’, 60,
and his attendant Abdul Kader, 30, were found dead with their throats cut at their Mazar in city’s Baizid area on Sept 4 in 2015.
Two cases were filed over the incident.
