Dakhina Cricket: Premier University beat East Delta by 7 wkts

Premier University earned a facile seven-wicket victory over East Delta University in the Dakhina Inter-University T20 Cricket Tournament at WCG here on Sunday.
Sent in to bat first, East Delta University scored 93 for 8 in 20 overs with Juheb making not out 34 and Piyal 22 runs.
Tanvir Ahmed Sharif made the major damage to the East Delta innings grabbing four wickets for nine runs and was adjudged the man of the match.
In reply, Premier University easily reached their target scoring 95 for 3 in 13.5 overs with SM Farhan making 28, Moazzem Hossain 25 and Pankaj Biswas not out 23 runs.
Sanju, Rakib and Sami took one wicket each.
In the day’s other, Southern University defeated Port City International University by five wickets at the WCG.
Winning the toss, Port City University batted first and scored 129 for 7 in 20 overs with Towhidul Haq scoring not out 31 and Yousuf Sr 28 runs,
Kazi Kamrul Islam captured three wickets for 29 runs while Tarek Aziz Khan took 2 for 23 runs.
In reply, Southern University reached their target scoring 135 runs for the loss of five wickets in 18.5 overs.
Ratan Das made an unconquered 47 runs off just 20 balls hitting six over boundaries and was adjudged the man of the match.
