Youth held with arms

Mar 5: Members of Bangladesh Army arrested a youth with arms and ammunition from Muslimpara area under Guimara upazila here on Thursday.
The detained is Alin Chakma alias Sumon Chakma of the area.
Superintendent of Police Md Mozid Ali, BPM, said on a tip-off a team of army personnel led by Guimara Sub Zone Commander Lieutenant Abdur Rahman raided the area at 12:30pm and arrested Alin Chakma with an LG, four rounds of bullet, and a subscription book.
Later, he was handed over to police in the afternoon.
In primary interrogation, Alin admitted that he is activist of Parbatya Chattagram Jana Samhati Samiti (Manobendro Larma Group) and engaged with toll
collection.
While talked with this correspondent, PCJSS (Manobendro Group) Co-Chair Sudha Shindu Khisa said, “Alin is simply a villager. Army personnel branded him as criminal after keeping arms and ammunition in his hand.”
