Ishtiaq, Faruk reach boys singles (U-16) final

Mohammad Ishtiaq of BKSP and Faruk Hossain of National Tennis Complex reached the boys singles (U-16) final of the National Level Junior Tennis Tournament eliminating their rivals in the semis at the Raman National Tennis Complex here on Saturday.
Ishtiaq booked a seat for the final beating his compatriot Naimul Islam 5-7,
6-1, 6-2 while Faruk moved into the final defeating Swadhin Hossain of Manikganj 6-1, 6-0.
In the girls’ singles (U-16) semifinals, Arfana Islam Priti of BKSP beat Srabonti Dev Orpita of Brahmanbaria 6-1, 6-0, Popy Akhter of BKSP defeated Sraboni Biswas of Golapganj 6-3, 6-0 to reach the event’s final.
Finals of both the boys and girls singles (U-16) will be held on Sunday.
Besides, boys singles U-12 and girls singles (U-14) also advanced to the final on Saturday.
