Ex-MP Shahidul, his wife asked to submit wealth info by 7 days

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has asked BNP leader M Shahidul Islam and his wife to submit their wealth statements to the Commission within seven working days.
The ACC recently served a notice upon them and warned to take action against the former MP and his wife if they fail to submit statements in time, the Commission sources said.
The national anti-graft body may file a case against
them for allegedly accumulating illegal wealth if the body gets any irregularity.
Earlier, the ACC received an allegation that they amassed a huge illegal wealth. And considering the allegation, the Commission launched a probe against the couple.
Recently, the ACC also filed a case against Shahidul Islam for allegedly taking a Rajuk’s flat located in city’s Banani by submitting a ‘false’ affidavit.
