UPDF activist shot dead in Khagrachhari
UNB, Khagrachhari :
A member of United People’s Democratic Front (UPDF) was shot dead and another person injured in a gun attack by masked miscreants in Babuichhari area of Dighinala upazila on Sunday morning.
The deceased was identified as Sudrishti Chakma, 35.
Witnesses said, a group of four masked miscreants shot Sudrishti from close range while he was standing in front of a roadside shop in the area at around 8 am, killing him on the spot and injuring another person, Hridi Chakma, 27. Injured Hridi Chakma was rushed to Khagrachhari
sadar hospital. On information, police recovered the body of Sudrishti Chakma and sent it to the same hospital for autopsy.
Shahadat Hossain, officer-in-charge of Khagra-chhari Police Station, confirmed the incident.
