Govt fails to curb militancy, GJM alleges

Ganojagoran Mancha, Chittagong chapter alleged that govt fails to control the militancy in the country , as a result free mind writers and publishers are being killed one after one. This was disclosed at a protest rally GJM held at Cheragi pahar crossing in the city on Sunday .
The protest rally was arranged demanding immediate arrest of the killers of Faisal Arefin Dipon and brought under trial . Organiser of GJM Kazi Nurul Absar told that all pro-liberation forces should be united to face defeated forces in liberation war and immediate execution of court verdicts on war crimes.
Convener of the GJM, chittagong Sharif chowhan said through attempt of killing to Humayun Azad in 2004, the militants became desperate to killing the progressive minded writers one after one.He said in last two years, seven writers were killed by the militants but these killers yet to be apprehended.
Member secretary of GJM Dr. Chandan Das also spoke in it.
After end of rally, a procession brought out from the rally venue which paraded Anderkilla and press club premises. GJM also called for half day hartal in the city today protesting the killings, sources said.
