Three-day match between BCB U-17 and CAB U-17 ends in draw

The three-day match between hosts Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Under-17 team and touring Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) Under-17 team ended in draw on the 3rd and final day at the Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox’s Bazar on Thursday.
Replying to BCB U-17 team’s first innings total 357 for 6 (declared) featuring an unbeaten 129 runs by Aminul Islam, CAB U-17 resumed the first innings with overnight 158 for 6 in 76 overs and declared the innings at 273 for 9 in 113 overs.
Tail-ender Tribrit Roy contributed not out 72 runs off 105 ball hitting six fours and five sixes in addition to opener Sayan Biswas’s 77 runs, made on the 2nd day (Wednesday).
Hasan Mahmud grabbed three wickets for 73 runs while Sharif Islam bagged two for 42 runs.
In reply, BCB Under-17 team opened the 2nd innings and scored 215 for 1 in 45 overs at stumps on the final day (Thursday), featuring 172 runs in 35.3 overs in the opening stand by Ratul Khan and Sojibul Islam.
Ratul Khan hammered an unbeaten 113 runs off 122 balls hitting 13 fours and two sixes while Sojibul Islam scored 116-ball 77 runs with help of eight fours and three sixes.
Mahmudul Hasan remained not out on 13 runs off 32 balls.
