Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University (MBSTU) in Tangail celebrated its University Day 2025 on Thursday with a series of colorful events and activities.
The celebration began at 10:30 AM with a vibrant rally led by Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Anwarul Azim Akhand. The procession paraded through the main roads of the campus, creating a festive atmosphere. Following the rally, a cake-cutting ceremony took place in front of the 12-storey 3rd Academic Building.
The event was attended by deans of various faculties, the registrar, department chairmen, hall provosts, faculty members, students, and administrative staff. As part of the day-long program, a campus-wide cleanliness drive was held at 12:00 PM. This was followed by a prayer at the campus temple at 12:30 PM and a special Doa Mahfil after Zuhr prayers at the central mosque at 1:30 PM.
In the afternoon, student clubs organized a cultural program at 5:00 PM, while the day concluded with a special dinner served at the university’s residential halls at 7:30 PM. The celebration reflected the unity and spirit of the MBSTU community, paying tribute to the institution’s legacy and academic achievements.
