Many things can change if we are humane: Peya Jannatul
Entertainment Report :
Peya Jannatul is one of the most well-known faces in the country’s glamour world. From ramp modelling to acting and law, she has left her mark on everything.
However, this time, it is not a story of the screen, but rather she has taken to social media to speak out about the harsh reality of the country’s medical system.
In a post, Peya expressed her anger over the service and mismanagement of the country’s renowned hospitals.
She called the pain of long hospital waits and the authorities’ indifference towards patients extremely inhumane.
Peya Jannatul wrote in her post, “Patients sit in hospitals for hours with pain, anxiety and fatigue.
Yet it seems like no one has a headache. Yet no one comes to the hospital as a hobby; everyone comes under compulsion, for their own health.”
Without mentioning the names of the so-called famous or ‘best’ hospitals in the country, she said, “The most painful thing is that even in the so-called best hospitals, time has no value. This is the situation despite having so many people and so many systems.”
According to the actress, despite spending enough money, patients are not getting timely service and respect. And this is why she thinks those who can afford it are
rushing to foreign hospitals.
In her words, “This is why those who can afford it want to go abroad for treatment not just for good treatment, but in the hope of a little respect and humane treatment.”
Asking why a sick person’s time is not valued, Peya further said, “Does a sick
person’s time have no value? A little humanity can change a lot of things.”
Incidentally, Peya Jannatul is also involved in the legal profession along with showbiz. She is a Supreme Court lawyer.
