Fire service distributes leaflet to raise awareness

To raise awareness about preventing fires and other accidents, the Fire Service and Civil Defence distribute leaflets at the Amar Ekushey Book Fair.

On Friday, this leaflet distribution activity takes place at the fair. Leaflets are handed out to visitors from all walks of life attending the fair, as well as to staff working at various stalls.

During the leaflet distribution, the Hon. Minister for Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs comes across the activity and happily receives a leaflet. In addition, popular singer and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) director Mr Asif Akbar also receives a leaflet and participates in a photo session with Fire Service officers and personnel. The Hon. Law Minister, Mr Asif Akbar, and many others highly praise this awareness-raising initiative by the Fire Service.

There is no alternative to awareness when it comes to reducing the risk of accidents. Under the direction of the Director General of Fire Service and Civil Defence, Brigadier General Muhammad Zahed Kamal, ndc, afwc, psc, this initiative is undertaken to educate the public. Leaflets on fire safety are distributed at book stalls on both sides of the fairgrounds Suhrawardy Udyan and Bangla Academy as well as to fair visitors.

The activity begins in front of the temporary control room of the Fire Service at Suhrawardy Udyan, led by Media Cell Warehouse Inspector Mr Md Anwarul Islam. The Fire Service continuously conducts public outreach, topography surveys, static rallies, drills, training, and other activities to prevent fires. The leaflet distribution at the book fair is part of this ongoing effort.
