In Madhukhali of Faridpur, a son-in-law named Nizam Uddin Sheikh (35) was tortured and killed due to extramarital affair with his sister-in-law.
On Friday (March 22) morning, the Madhukhali police station recovered the body of the deceased. Legal action in this regard is under process. The deceased is the son of Manik Sheikh from Hatghata village of Raipur Union of the Upazila. The deceased Nizam Uddin is known as Nizam Dakat in the area.
According to family sources, the deceased Nizam was having an affair with his concubine Jolly Begum. On March 19, 2024, Nizam went to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College Hospital in Faridpur with his wife Joli Begum to visit Nizam’s sick father-in-law.
After seeing Nizam’s father-in-law, Nizam brought Jolly to his father’s house and stayed at Hatghata. Nizam’s in-laws came to know about this on Thursday, March 21.
