The inauguration ceremony of the three-year executive council of the Magura Press Club has been completed with extensive arrangements.
On this occasion, various programs started on Friday (November 22) at the Magura Press Club building. The programme was officially inaugurated by Bangladesh Television Director General Md. Mahbubul Alam Gora in the presence of about six hundred and fifty invited guests.
He said that after the scriptures, people once considered newspapers as truth, but due to misreporting during the previous government, people’s trust in them started to decline.
The program was chaired by Magura Press Club President Professor Saidur Rahman and moderated by General Secretary Shafiqul Islam Shafiq, and Deputy Commissioner Md. Ahidul Islam was present as the chief guest.
Special guests included Magura Police Superintendent Mina Mahmuda BPM, District Information Officer Pavel Das, and Bangladesh Observer Senior Staff Reporter Shahiduzzaman Mohan.
