A young man named Muhammad Ali Pandit (30) committed suicide by hanging himself after quarreling with his wife in Kalapara of Patuakhali. The incident took place in Mohipur of the upazila on Thursday (May 9) morning.
According to the family of the deceased and the police sources, Ali, a fisherman by profession, often quarreled with his wife at home. On Thursday morning, suddenly both of them engaged in altercation.After that, when the wife leaves the house, he hangs himself alone in his house.
After a while, the elder sister of the deceased found him hanging in the house and rescuing him brought to the hospital. But the doctor on duty at Kuakata 20-bed hospital declared him dead.
Mohipur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Anwar Hossain Talukder said that as soon as the news was received, the the dead body was recovered and sent to Patuakhali Medical College Hospital for post-mortem. Legal action will be taken later.
