Jubair Murder: Court revokes bail to 6 accused

 A court here on Sunday cancelled the bail to six accused in the Jubair Ahmed murder case as they breached its terms set by the High Court. The accused are Khandaker Ashiqul Islam, Khan Mohammad Rais, Mahbub Akram, Ishtiaque Arup, Rashedul Islam and Jahedul Islam.
Jubair Ahmed, 23, an undergraduate student of English Department at Jahangirnagar University (JU), died at United Hospital in the capital on January 9, 2012, hours into his adduction and tortures on the campus by his political opponents on January 8.
On January 23, public prosecutor FM Rafiqul Islam submitted a plea seeking to revoke the bail for violating its terms.
The case is now pending with the Speedy Trial Tribunal-4.
