Hamza Choudhury said, ” I shall try to advance Bangladesh’s football.” Hamza Choudhury spoke at a press conference at the Hotel InterContinental in the capital on Wednesday.
Hamza Choudhury is playing for Sheffield United Football Club in the European Football League. Earlier, Hamza Choudhury played for Leicester City Football Club in the English Premier League.
If everything goes well Hamza Choudhury will play for Bangladesh National Football team in the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers away match against India. The Group-C match between Bangladesh and India will be held at Shillong in India on March 25. The other teams of Group-C of AFC Asian Cup qualifiers are: Singapore and Hong Kong.
Hamza Choudhury said, ” I have decided to play for Bangladesh after consulting with my family members. The England Football Association has not yet called me to play for England National Football team. I talked to my family members several times.
They have given me inspiration to play for Bangladesh National Football team. I have got message from my friends, coaches. They have given me positive messages. They have congratulated me.
My family members become proud as I have got chance to play for Bangladesh. Thousands of people of Bangladesh have gathered to see me and also have congratulated me. The officials of Bangladesh Football Federation have consulted with me to play for Bangladesh since two to three years.
President of Bangladesh Football Federation Tabith Mohammed Awal consulted with me and give me planning to play for Bangladesh. I also talked to Head Coach of Bangladesh Football team Javier Cabrera. It seems to me Bangladesh Football team want to get success. I have got confidence after talking to President of BFF and Head Coach Cabrera.”
When asked him about the match of India, Hamza replied that everything could be happened in football. Hamza said, ” Bangladesh Football squad have been taking a good preparation for the upcoming India match. I don’t feel any pressure.
I am getting affection from my fans of Bangladesh. I want to play the match and want to give contribution to Bangladesh Football team.”
