A workshop and training programme of the proposed Government Employees Cooperative Society Ltd was held on Saturday at a hotel at Mirpur in the capital.
President of the group, Abdur Rashid, presided over the event. Mohammad Abdul Jalil, Secretary of the organization presented different development projects of the organization in Aminbazar and Mohammadpur areas.
Vice-President, Dr. AFM Amir Hossain, Deputy Secretary, Industry Ministry, Joint-Secretary Dr. ABM Shafiuzzaman, Treasurer Engineer Raju Ahmed and Member Dr. Sadiya Sultana, BCS (Health), Amimul Ehsan, BCS (Fisheries), Dr. Abdullah Al Mujahid, BCS (Health), Arifur Rahman Jewel, BCS (Education), Monirul Islam, Mrinal Kanti Dey and Shamsul Islam Joha, among others, were present in the event.
Besides, government employees from different departments also participated in the programme.
The participants emphasized easy affordable prices housing for middle class earners in the society.
