Fortis Football Club, came from behind, forced Brothers Union Club to split point when their match ended in a 1-1 goal draw in the Bangladesh Football League (BFL) held at Birshreshtha Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj on Saturday.
In the day’s match, forward Moltagim Hemel opened an account scoring the first goal for Brothers Union in the 21st minute while after the breather Gambian forward Pa Babou restored the parity for Fortis in the 64th minute of the match.
After the goal, both the teams, however, got several scoring chances but failed to take lead in the remaining proceeding and eventually they had to leave the field with one point.
With the day’s outcome, Fortis, who stands second position in the league, secured 15 points from eight matches while the all-orange Gopibagh outfit stayed seventh position with eight pointsplaying the same number of matches.
Brothers Union Club will play their last match of the first round league against Mohammedan on January 2 while Fortis FC will meet PWD Sports Club on January 3.
